What you can send back, what you cannot, and how a refund is paid.
Because you are buying at a distance, you have a cooling-off period of 14 days. It runs from the day you receive the goods, not the day you ordered. Within that window you may cancel the order without giving a reason, and you then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
This right comes from EU consumer law as it applies in Ireland. It does not replace your separate rights if goods arrive faulty, damaged or not as described — those apply regardless of the 14 days.
The cooling-off right has exemptions in law, and two of them cover much of a grocery order:
These exemptions do not apply to faulty or incorrect items. If we sent you the wrong thing, or it arrived damaged or past its date, tell us and we will replace or refund it whether it is open or not.
Email support@ebazar.ie with your order number, which items you want to return, and — if something is faulty or damaged — a photograph. There is no form to fill in. We reply with the return address and confirm whether the item needs to come back at all; for a low-value damaged item it is often not worth the postage, and we will say so.
Please do not post anything back before you hear from us. Keep the goods in the condition they arrived in, and keep proof of postage until the refund lands.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. A card payment is refunded to the same card; a bank transfer is refunded to the account it came from. We cannot refund to a different method or to store credit.
Once we have the returned goods, or your proof that you sent them, we refund within 14 days. That includes the standard delivery charge you originally paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, we refund the standard rate.
Where you are cancelling under the 14-day right rather than because something was wrong, you pay the cost of returning the goods. Where the item was faulty, damaged or incorrect, we pay it.
If the order has not been dispatched yet you can cancel it from your order history and nothing needs to be posted anywhere. Delivery and collection details are on the delivery page.
